The John C Winston Company. Philadelphia., 1940 Book size about 6 by 8 by 1 1/4 inches with some 248 pages. Bound in pale orange illustrated cloth with black spine lettering. Top edge with a publisher applied pale orange stain. Map illustrated end papers (Same for front and rear). Color frontis on glossy paper and numerous full page and smaller illustrations by Marguerite Kirmse on plain paper or in-text. Previous owner bookplate at front dated Christmas, 1940. Book with light wear; rear hinge cracked; insect loss along the upper edges of the rear pastedown; light insect damage along the very tops of the last two leaves. A bright clean book. VERY GOOD Language: eng Language: eng Language: eng. 1st Edition.. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket.
