London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1947. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Good/Fair. 1947 first edition hardback in good condition. Contemporary owner's name and date on inside cover. A little foxing to prelims and end-papers. The front hinge is rather worn but still firmly attached. Binding is tight. The mushroom cloth boards are a little worn at the edges but unmarked. In its original, unclipped dust wrapper which has the top 3-4cm missing at the front, another piece missing at bottom of spine and tanning throughout. Now in a protective sleeve.
