About This Item

Berkeley, CA Howell-North Books, 1974. Hardcover First Ed, unstated. SIGNED AND DATED, SEPTEMBER 9, 1974 BY THE AUTHOR. First Ed, unstated. Near Fine in Near Fine DJ: Both book and DJ show only minute indications of use. Book shows only barely discernible wear to its extremities; binding shows slight lean, but remains perfectly secure; text clean. DJ shows a bit of faint sunning at the back strip, but the titles thereon remain bold and clearly legible; else only minimal wear to the extremies; mylar-protected. Overall, very close to 'As New'. Overall, remains clean, sturdy and quite presentable in a like DJ. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. Folio. 135pp. blue-grey cloth over boards with charcoal grey titles; Decorated Endpapers, with two-page poster promoting Granada on both endpapers. Full-page route map opposite title page. Profusely illustrated in Black & White. Hardback with DJ. A grandiose dream whose remnants can still be viewed by those willing to spend a few minutes off Highway 1 between San Francisco and Santa Cruz. One stop was the town of Granada, a product of the Shore Line Investment Company, who brought in Daniel H. Burnham (Plan of Chicago) to do the town plan. SIGNED BY AUTHOR.
