PUBLISHER - (LOCATION) /COPYRIGHT: THE OUTSIDE OF THE SCRAPBOOK APPEAR TO BE FROM THE LATER 1800s. There are ostriches running under a date or palm tree, everything was one done in gilt or gold leaf. EDITION: CATEGORY: Children, Super Rare ---NOT SIGNED--- BINDING/COVER: Hardback without dust jacket CONDITION: (All defects if any are formulated into pricing by ViewFair Books Books. If ViewFair Books miss any defects or highlights on any book/printings, our policy is to make immediate amends to any customer): The outside is in a little rough condition with a loss of gilt or gold to the images on the front board (see photo), there is scuffing along the edges. The pages are brittle and chipping at the edges. Most pages are loose and not bound to the spine. SIZE: 8 x 10 (approximately) PAGES: Approximately 10 pages front and back with images on both sides plus the inside boards contain images. BACKGROUND/DESCRIPTION: UNIQUE Book appears to be a child's collection of lithography and color images. MULTICOLORED LITHOGRAPHIC ADS FROM THE LATE 1800s. A couple of the ads have racial overtones. There are two that appear to be the symbols for Arm & Hammer Baking Soda. Most are from business ads and a few are just cutouts that possibly came from magazines or books. A few are from personal cards. THE UNIQUE SCRAPBOOK CONTAINS ALL TYPES OF COLORED LITHOGRAPIC LIKE IMAGES FROM THE LATE 1800s. SOME OF THESE IMAGES FROM VARIOUS BUSINESSES MAY BE QUITE RARE (Gold Medal Coffee (5 or more), Dr. Wolf's Vermin Soap, Broad Mead Dress Good, Busy Bee Candy Kitchen, Rising Sun Stove Polish (racist images of Blacks), The Shaker Extract of Roots, The White Sewing Machine, Two Arm & Hammer round paper medallions, etc.)!!!!
