About This Item
Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1937. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Signed. First edition, first printing, with "Lovely Pearl" on the first line of page 19. Very Good, lacking the dust jacket. Signed by John P. Marquand on the front free end paper, and again on the title page. Bump to top of boards and bottom of spine. Stain to top and edge of page block, affecting text on several pages. Occasional streaked browning to pages, which appears to be a common issue with this title on account of the acidic paper stock used. Hinge at title page lightly exposed. A satire of Boston's elite upper class, and winner of the 1938 Pulitzer Prize.
