Detailed history of the 1872 strike & riots which took place in the largest textile factory in Europe, located in Russia. Some 5000 Estonian, German & Russian workers fought a pitched battle with Russian soldiers. The strike marked the begining of the labour unrest which lead to the Russian Revolution 40 years later.
