Lacks the rear free endpaper. Some tears with loss & repaired tears, etc, to some of the prelims, and pages near the end neatly reinserted into spine. Pictorial paper boards - Pretty Scraped and bumped on extremities and spine, o/w rest of book GOOD. Unpaginated. Children's story concerning a family of elephants. With 12 Lovely Full Page, full colour. Delightful illustrations of The Grays - an Elephant family and friends. All of these magnificent plates present. The colour plates facing pages of text, plus line illustrations and section headings. These elephants go to market, learn arithmetic, nearly drown, put out fires, etc, etc. Considered the greatest of the Parkers' lovely picture books.
