Full page color ills, 23pp, 4to (33x24cm), color pictorial papered boards, cloth spine, cover is in poor condition with waterstaining and chewed extremities, boards detached, stamped inscription ffep, soiling of interior, mostly at edges. This book was obviously read and reread, and not surprisingly. The illustrations are wonderful -- very colorful (process seems to be a kind of chromolithography). The participants are portrayed as wooden toys on stands. Naturally John learns the error of his ways. .
