Thel'Echiquer, a Belgian magazine of consistently high quality, was published in 1925 through February 1939. It introduced the figurine algebraic notation. The magazine also published, in addition to its monthly issues, other works such as Henri-Robert-Marcel Duchamp's works on the end game in chess.
Condition:
Bound in half cloth with marbled boards and gilt lettering to spine with original wrappers bound in. Number 14 has the incorrect date of 1925 else very good.
