Some light creases and scratches to the covers. Rear, white cover is browned. There are gift inscriptions on the last, blank page and the author's signature on the title page. Otherwise the inside pages are clean and unmarked, but tanned. A paperback edition of this work, which was originally published in 1951. Tells the story of life in Leeds County, focussing on the author's recollections of growing up there. Illustrated with pen and ink drawings. Signed by the author on the half-title page. .
