Small tears at both ends of spine. Adelaide Procter (1825-1864) was the daughter of a poet, Bryan Waller Procter and his wife, Anne Skepper. Miss Procter worked on behalf of the homeless and downtrodden. She died of tuberculosis at the age of 38. 352 pp.. Full Leather on Flexible Board. Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Harold Piffard. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
