New York: Hurst & Co. New York: Hurst & Co. 255 pp with an engraving of Hawthorne frontis. No date of publication given but from the binding I believe it is 1890's thereabouts. Hurst Publishing produced an number of12mo series of inexpensive reprint books of poetry and classics in the last decade of the Nineteenth Century.Text is clean, tight and unmarked. Front hinge is cracked but holding. Dark red cloth boards have a handsome stamped geometric pattern on front board and gold-stamped title on spine. Spine is bumped at both ends, lightly sunned.
