Anne Marie Rivier was the founder of the Sisters of the Presentatio n of Mary in 1796 and opened many school throughout France to counter the spiritual decline that resulted from the French Revolution. Many houses and foundations were opened later in England, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Canada and the USA. Minor wear to the covers, small inked note on the front cover, otherwise clean with a sound binding. .
