Wear to boards with rubbing, toning, and bumps to covers, corners, and edges. Cloth is frayed at corners, along edges, and at head and tail of spine. Lean to spine. Toning to edges of text block. Previous owner's stamp and bookseller's ticket to front free endpaper. Penciled notation to verso of endpaper and to rear paste-down. Age-toning to endpapers. Pages are free of marks and notation. Binding is sound. With fold-out plate of diagramed skeleton at title page and black-and-white illustrations throughout. An overall clean, solid copy of this 1885 text on physiology.
