Nijkerk: C. C. Callenbach, 1893. Presumed First. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Translated "Sketch of Life" (or Biography) of A. C. Van Raalte, one of the early citizens of Holland, MI. Book is in Dutch language. Navy cloth-covered boards are quite clean and have beveled edges. Cloth shows some wear at top and bottom spine edges and front corner tips. Gilt lettering on front is bordered in red. Gilt is still bright on front and on spine. Previous owner's name and address in pencil on title page. Engraving of van Raalte is loose at bottom edge and has a bit of soiling. Interior of book is otherwise unmarked and clean throughout. . Presumed First. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.
