A review copy with publisher's slip laid in. vi, 60pp. Bound in publisher's blue gray buckram over decorative paper boards. Fine with historical society bookplate at front pastedown. In a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with minor toning to top edges of flaps, faint toning to spine. A remarkably fresh copy of C.S. Lewis' reflections on his experience of bereavement following the death of his wife, Joy Davidman, in 1960. The book was published in 1961 under the pseudonym N.W. Clerk because Lewis wished to avoid the connection. Review copies are scarce.
