About This Item

London: Arrow Books, 1992. 323, 280 pp. Both books have light edge and corner wear with minor creasing at the spines; no interior markings. In The Lies of Fair Ladies, Lovejoy's reputation needs restoring when he gets caught in a web of corruption - and murder. With two dead bodies and the very real feeling that his may be the next, Lovejoy enters the center of a long-simmering plot for deadly revenge. In Paid and Loving Eyes, he is plagued for advice by people with more money than divvying skill. Lovejoy sees his only hope as fleeing to France with horse-mad Almira. But before he knows it, he's involved in the biggest scam of all - buying every decent bit of furniture and silver that comes his way. Created by Ian La Frenais, Lovejoy was a British television series that ran from 1986 to 1994, starring Ian McShane, Dudley Sutton, Chris Jury, Phyllis Logan, Malcolm Tierney, Caroline Langrishe, Diane Parish, and a host of others, including Joanna Lumley for three episodes.. First and Second Paperback Printings. Soft Cover. Very Good.
