A good copy overall, interior very good with internal binding solid, paper clean and lightly yellowed; but exterior worn, hinges are broken and covers are loose, leather back strip over spine missing. The interior of this book is in good condition for rebinding and is priced accordingly.

Cloth on the outer joint is split. Light to moderate scattered foxing throughout the text. Text block slightly shaken. Front hinge lightly cracked exposing the stitching in the gutter. Rear hinge in good condition. This is a campaign biography.

Nice copy of a biography first published in 1860 as a campaign bio, revised and rushed into print with new information and reprinting Lincoln speeches, to make it up-to-date.
