Illustrated with engravings, including several "field preaching." 437 pages. -- Hardcover, black cloth with bright gilt spine lettering. Condition: very good: nice clean copy, with small bump to fore-edge; corners and tips with very slight wear. -- George Whitefield was profiled in the PBS "God in America" series. His method of outdoor preaching to crowds, in an emotional and revival style, without organized religious group or book learning or ministers, started the "Great Awakening" of the 1730s and 1740s.
