Boston:: John Putnam,, 1849.. First edition. Cloth. Good. 213 pp, 12mo. Family presentation copy. Rubbing to spine ends & corners, spine head chipped. Spine sunned, mildly slanted. Two clipped ink signatures of Rev. Grafton affixed to frontispiece (engraving portrait, not original? - pasted to ffep verso). Offsetting to title pg opposite frontispiece. Light foxing, tanning scattered to pgs throughout. One leaf dogeared. Ink inscription to fpd: "This book has been in the possession of Elizabeth Hanshaw (sp?) for several years. In her last sickness she gave it to her sister Mary Coolidge who brought it from Leicester in 1866 & with the autographs presented them to the only person in this vicinity who wears the name of the good man, whose deeds are passing away, with the generation who hallow his memory. Joseph Grafton Coolidge, 1867." C Signed
