The first edition of this work on life and sport in the north-west of Hampshire, written by George Dewar, illustrated with two coloured plates and other plates by Archibald Thorburn. The first edition of this work. This work is an account of wild life and sport in north-west Hampshire, an area populated with large woods and streams, With a coloured frontispiece, one coloured plates, and twelve plates. Written by George A. B. Dewar, who also wrote 'The Glamour of the Earth', 'The Book of the Dry Fly', 'Wild Life in Hampshire Highlands', 'The Birds in our Wood', and more. Illustrated by Archibald Thorburn. Thorburn was a Scottish artists, known for his watercolour paintings of animals and birds, spending a lot of time in the highlands of Scotland to sketch birds in the wild. Collated, complete. Condition: In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, with some light marks to the boards and spine. Bookseller's label to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with only a couple of very light spots. Overall Condition: Very Good Indeed.
