About This Item
Princeton University Press, Princeton NJ, 1947. 1st edition. Hardcover. Fine. Tycho Brahe was a Danish nobleman, astronomer and alchemist. He was the last of the astromers to develop his theories without the aid of telescopes. He combined the best of the Copernican and Ptolemaic systems into his theory of the universe, the Tychonic system. After his death, Brahe's assistant, Johannes Kepler used Brahe's data to develop the laws of planetary motion. Slight bumping to the corners of the book. 1ST EDITION.
