Philadelphia: National Publishing Company, 1874. Original geen pebbled cloth, gilt stamped decorative title on the front cover, gilt stamped title on the spine. Two engraved frontispieces (portraits of leading Mormons and the Temple then being constructed in Salt Lake City) and fold-out map in front, plus many engraved text illustrations. 608 pages plus two pages of ads. Title page states: "Issued by subscription only, and not for sale in the book stores." Contemporary owner name in neat script dated in year of publication on front flyleaf otherwise very good. Originally issued in 1870, this 1874 printing is unaccountably scarce. See pictures. . Hard Cover. Very Good.
