NY: Life Publishing. Very Good. 1893-95. First Edition. Hardcover. Contemporary half leather with marbled boards. Most of Volume XXV: , with four extra issues at the start. Table of contents, then four extra issues: #567, Nov. 9, 1893; #568, Nov. 16, 1893; # 593, May 10, 1894; #616, Oct. 18, 1894. Then comes Volume XXV, from January 3, 1895, nos. 627 to 644. Then is inserted #546, June 15, 1893. Then it skips to 4 July 1895, nos. 653-675. #676 is lacking. Then #677, 678, followed by the Christmas issue of 1895. 49 issues total. Front joint is cracked, lower joint starting. The issues include front cover, but appear to be lacking back cover in most cases; however there are ads. The Xmas issue appears to have the back cover. The pages are generally clean, with some vertical creasing. Two pages are detached, laid in. ; quarto .

A bound volume of weekly humour magazines, No. 627 to 652, containing fiction, poetry, news, humour, etc. Red cloth, red leather with gilt titling on spine, faux bands, illustrated title page and profusely illustrated throughout with handsome black and white plates, advertising through book and at back. 427 pages. Given its age, book is in remarkable shape - bottom edges have some wear, some rubbing to cover, textblock edges darkened, foxing spots on end papers, pages 404 and 405 have small tears that have been repaired with clear tape, page 650 is stained and has a 4 inch closed tear and a few little holes. Shipping charges are calculated for a standard parcel under 1 kg. Additional charges will apply for heavier shipments, but not until the customer agrees.
