Bombay, 1888. First edition pp.vi, cxx, 329, errata leaf. A very good copy in original cloth. Malabari, a Parsi social reformer in Bombay, supported the rights of child widows through his journal, the Indian Spectator, extracts from which are reprinted here. In 1891 his attempt to raise the age of consent from 10 to 12 years caused a storm of protest.
