Light green cloth boards and spine with bright blue lettering on the spine and front board; airplane picture in blue on front board. 264 pp 4to. This is the story the MATS, the Military Air Transport System, which was set up after World War II as an unarmed command to support Army and Navy logistics missions around the globe. It is the logistics arm of the Strategic Air Command. 72 drawings and 2 full color paintings by the author of MATS planes and bases. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
