Green cloth over boards with dark green lettering and design on the front and on the spine. Top page edges are tinted for edge pages are not cut. No tears, bent pages, presentation to the previous owner on the inside flyleaf. No Dust Jacket. Light Browning to the inside covers front and back. Light soiled spots along the for edge front. Spine is fading still legible also soiling spots on the back board. Shelf wear to the edges and to the head and told the spine. Bumps and wear to the head and toe of the spine. Text is still bright and clean, binding is secure, a solid collectible book of the top 100 novels of the 20th century. Size: 7" - 9" Tall

Synopsis

To the Lighthouse is a novel by Virginia Woolf. A landmark novel of high modernism, the text, centering on the Ramsay family and their visits to the Isle of Skye in Scotland between 1910 and 1920, skillfully manipulates temporality and psychological exploration. To the Lighthouse follows and extends the tradition of modernist novelists like Marcel Proust and James Joyce, where the plot is secondary to philosophical introspection, and the prose can be winding and hard to follow.
