Some quite heavy scattered foxing, mosty on blank verso of plates and their margins. *The author was known as "Antiquity Smith" - although first published after his death, this book was prepared for press soon after publication in 1817 of his Vagabondiana or Anecdotes of Mendicant Wanderers through the Streets of London. So it was considered to be a continuation - the half title reads "VAGABONDIANA .. Volume II by John Thomas Smith London 1839".

Tan paper wraps, printed in black. Circular blind stamp of Bibliotheque de Deep sea salvage on the title page. Front cover has 'Editor of the Herald' written in ink across the top. Edges rubbed and bumped with some loss to the bottom of the spine. Corners creased and chipped a little but overall a very good example of this scarce Civil War time publication. Only one copy located on Worldcat, at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
