No copyright dates on the 3000 books. The copyrights on all the 3100 books are 1932, but the box has 1950 (MCML). Box is 9 inches by 7 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches. Black and white and Color illustrations by Eulalie. Poems on the back of each book. 12 pages each. Corners are still square, not rubbed much at all. Feel free to ask questions or request more photos. Books: Staples rusty. Tiny bits of light foxing and smudges on some books. Small signs of use. Box: Torn in several places, but able to hold books. Would be good to tape it, but I'll leave that to the buyer. "Pat" written on back of box large in black crayon. Some pencil marks on back of box. Chips and rubbing. Mostly selling the books as a complete set and they happen to have the original box. One 3/4 inch tear on The Gingerbread Boy cover. Illustrated throughout with decorative head and tail pieces plus frontis and fifteen full page plates, each with a plain paper guard. Neat previous owners 3 line inscription (dated 1876) on the half title. Some minor spotting to a few pages but generally a clean and bright copy in the publishers highly decorative green cloth binding with bevelled edged boards. Elaborate gilt and blind stamped decoration and lettering to the front board. The rear board with a blind stamped decorative panel pattern. Spine fully decorated and lettered in gilt. Off white endpapers. All edges gilt. Some bumping to the extremities and the spine a little dulled but overall a very good copy of this pretty book. A classic piece of decorative Victoriana.

Full colour illustrated onlay to the front board and green line border, decoration and lettering. Blue cloth spine lettered in dark blue. Aside from some darkening to the plain spine and minor rubbing to the extremities this is a very good copy. The book is undated but the British Library catalogue gives the publication date as 1915.
