Good, corners rounded, some rubbing to both covers, small chip head of the spine at the rear. Child's pencil signature front free endpaper, interior generally clean and bright, no scribbles or tears. "Sambo" comprises the first 22 pages, followed by two other children's stories.

1927-01-01. Hardcover. Good. . 1934 edition. Illustrated cover shows minor to moderate wear, tear, chipping, and rubbing. Foxing on the edges and endpapers, pages are lightly tanned and mostly clean.

A NICE AND WELL-PRINTED EDITION OF THESE CLASSIC STORIES. Bannerman wrote her stories to entertain her own children. LITTLE BLACK SAMBO was their favorite. THE GINGERBREAD MAN and TITTY MOUSE AND TATTY MOUSE are two other children’s classics.
