East Aurora, New York: The Roycrofters, 1902. Externally fair, internally very good. First edition, 1902, part of the edition of 940 copies hand illumined (brightly hand colored initials and other embellishments). complete set of the monographs in this Little Journeys series, printed on Roycroft paper, and bound into two volumes (Book I and II of the Artists, Volume X and XI of Little Journeys). Green suede yapped bindings with spine and front cover labels, 7.5 inches tall. The suede is badly unevenly faded with wear to the spine ends and spine labels, inch long chip to lower spine of book I, front hinge of book I lightly internally cracked but secure, but internally much better with firm text blocks, very clean pages, no names or other markings. The set ncludes profiles of: Raphael; Leonardo da Vinci; Botticelli; Thorwaldsen; Gainsborough; Velasquez; Corot; Coreggio; Bellini; Cellini; Abbey; and Whistler.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
