Pages remain bright and clear with minimal tanning and foxing. Thumb-marking present. Visible creasing to gutter. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Some crushing to spine ends. Small marks to rear board. Unclipped jacket has moderate edgewear with chips, tears and creasing. Some tanning to spine. Noticeable rubbing to surfaces. Scuffing to edges.

Clean, small format hardback bound in pictorial boards which are rubbed at edges, spine split from back cover and missing just over 1 inch at each end, binding loose, no inscriptions. Unpaginated, illustrations in the text by Ernest Aris .

Pictorial paper boards. Light wear to cover edges. Contents are bright. A few hinges are a little pulled and stitching becoming a little weak in a couple of places. Pictorial wrapper is edge-torn and chipped with loss to corners, small tape repair to top of front panel and top of spine and is grubby. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper.

Pictorial paper boards. 1cm loss to base of spine. Couple of small splits to top of spine, with a little chipping and small piece of loss. Corners are bumped and a little worn. Inscription in ink to edition page. A few grubby margin marks. Binding is starting to weaken at spine. Pictorial wrapper has 3/4 of rear flap torn out and missing; Just under an inch loss to base of spine and other chips with loss to edges. A few edge-tears. Still a nice copy of one of the rarer Ladybird books, in its original wrapper!

Pictorial wrapper is badly torn to rear cover and spine and has been messily put back together; alot of creasing to rear panel, patch of surface paper damage to top of front panel. Large closed repaired tear also to front panel.
