[16], 180, [4, publisher's advertisments] pp. With an engraved frontispiece containing 12 medallion portraits of the 12 men whose are named in the title. A reissue, and cancel title page, of the 1683 edition which has title: The history of infamous impostors. Or, The lives & actions of several notorious counterfeits (Wing R1766). With 2 final advertisement leaves. We could only find one copy of this at auction in the last 50 years, and no copy of the 1683 edition in the last 50 years.
Contemporary mottled calf, rebacked to style. Calf spine label, lettered in gilt. Boards a bit rubbed. Some toning and foxing to leaves. Overall a very good copy.
