Signed presentation copy inscribed by the author, Edgar Rice Burroughs to his daughter, Joan Burroughs, inscribed: “To Joan, With love, Papa, Apr 9 1948.” Illustrated by John Coleman Burroughs. One of Burroughs Martian series and the last book to be published in Burroughs’ lifetime. Fine in a near fine dust jacket with a few tiny chips. Joan Burroughs starred as Jane on the serialized Adventures of Tarzan radio show in the 1930s.
Synopsis
Llana of Gathol is an Edgar Rice Burroughs science fiction novel, the tenth of his famous Barsoom series. It consists of four stories that were originally published in Amazing Stories in 1941 (details see below). The first collected edition of Llana of Gathol was published in 1948. It is the penultimate book in the Barsoom series and the last to be published during Burroughs's lifetime.
