Quarto. 1232 pages, profusely illustrated. Hardcover. Bound in black cloth-covered boards stamped in gilt on spine with title and date and blind stamped rules on covers. All edges stained red.

Condition: VG+. Spotting on cover, corners bumped. Bookplate on front pastedown of Thomas Townsend Taber, a prolific author of railroad histories.

Provenance: From the collection of Thomas Townsend Taber III.
