"This book is that rare volume which offers a uniquely valuable first-hand record of history in the making and at the same time engrossing and exciting reading." - [back flap] 1061pp. with Index and 16pp. of photographs in b/w and reproductions of letters, telegrams, cables, memorandum, cartoons, etc...On these 16 pages on the bottom right corner appears a light beige triangular stain [tea ?] In spite of this little damage the book is in very good shape. Green cloth cover with black Backstrip; gilt lettering and green design on spine. The edges of the jacket have tears and some pieces of paper are missing.; 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" Tall, Heavy. .
