"Book Club Edition" -- on dust jacket. "3918" -- code on back section of dust jacket. Former owner's embossed stamp on half title page. Lord Darcy solves mysteries in an alternate universe where King Richard the Lion-Hearted did not die of an arrow wound in 1199, and consequently in the 20th century the Anglo-French Empire rules most of Europe and the New World, and magic is a science. Book is in Very Good+ Condition: small discoloration on each board; otherwise, clean and tight. Dust jacket is in Good+ Condition: edges rubbed; closed 1-cm. tears at tail of spine; ; illustration is bright.
