Philadelphia: J. B. Lippincott and Company, 1860. Full Leather. Very Good binding. Octavo. [6], 367 pp., frontis, engraved title. Full leather with heavy blind embossed boards and gold stamped floriated centerpiece, all edges gilt. A lovely copy with light rubbing to the extremities; the book is bright and presents very well; contemporary gift inscription on the first blank page; contents are otherwise clean. Originally issued by A. & C. Black, this copy has the engraved frontispiece and title page followed by the printed title page identifying this as the American edition. Dozens of in-text engravings throughout the text.
