Audio Cassette Twelve Audio Cassette Tapes in Excellent condition (they have been played, but show no signs of wear), each in a clear crystal plastic case in Excellent condition, showing no flaws, and each of which has a colorful liner note inserts. These are packed into a an attractive wooden box which shows a couple of spots of superficial soil spots (Very Good+ to Near Fine). Overall, Very Near Fine. Adapted by Bernard Mayes. Produced by The Mind's Eye. Heard on National Public Radio. Product Size: 5 x 9 x 3.35 inches. Weight: 2 pounds, 5.4 ounces. Audio Cassette.

The Lord of the Rings is an epic high fantasy novel written by philologist and Oxford University professor J. R. R. Tolkien. The story began as a sequel to Tolkien's earlier, less complex children's fantasy novel The Hobbit (1937), but eventually developed into a much larger work. It was written in stages between 1937 and 1949, much of it during World War II.
