Dust jacket is the version printed on high-gloss stock (generally assumed to be second issue) with price of $16.95 on the front flap. First printing of the first edition. Signed by the author on the title page. A beautiful copy of Burke's acclaimed novel, nominated for the Pulitzer Prize.

Synopsis

Burke's novel tells the story of Iry Paret, paroled for manslaughter, and trying to rebuild his life in a quiet Montana ranch owned by a friend's father, Frank Riordan. However, Frank is trying to shut down the local toilet paper mill, the number one cause of pollution in the town, as well as the number one employer! Can Iry avoid the eye of the sherrif and not earn the enmity of the town?
