All 6 books have no inscriptions or markings, the litho printing is still bright and clean. Edges have some foxing, boards of covers are shelf worn with chips and nicks. The books were published in support of what is known as the Prime Time Specials which aired annually from 1965 with the classic A Charlie Brown Christmas which first broadcast on CBS December 9th, 1965.A Charlie Brown's Christmas special has been broadcast every year since 1965 and is available to stream via Apple TV Plus.

There is a little contention as to the First Edition status of this series of Peanuts titles from mass market publisher World Publishing, the earliest the box set would have appeared would have been circa 1970-71, volumes in the set are dated First Editions. The argument is that World Publishing must have had warehouses full of First Editions from the originally printed editions starting from 1965 or that the publisher reprinted all 6 volumes in the early 1970's for a box set without changing the print plates.

So you could own yourself a legendary cautious tale in book collecting or a very clean set of litho print books of the most famous animated characters……until The Simpsons.
