Octavo (20.5cm.); original cloth in red decorative dust jacket, red topstain; 367,[1]pp.; photographic portrait frontispiece, 31 plates of illus. and facsimiles printed on rectos and versos. Jacket spine crown a bit worn, else Near Fine. Memoirs of the Spanish Civil War by Basque Communist activist, politician, and celebrated public speaker. Exiled at the end of the War, Ibarruri was appointed General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Spain, a position which she held from 1942 to 1960. This edition published in Moscow, though the text is entirely in the original Spanish.
