Hanover, New Hampshire: Dartmouth Publications, 1966. Very handsome book with no names or writing and a tight binding. The dustjacket is missing, but the brick red cloth is sturdy and showing no wear, This is not entirely a history of the White Mountains, but rather that of the Crawford family and its place in Vermont and New Hampshire. Personal histories such as this are wonderful finds for people meeting their long-lost ancestors. This one is especially good because it is was taken from the Crawford manuscripts.There's also a photograph at frontis of Lucy Howe Crawford circa 1860. Book measures 5-1/4" x 7-3/4" and has 279 pages. An interesting read with many anecdotes.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/NO DUSTJACKET.
