About This Item
Salem, Mass: A. N. Weiss & Co, 1896. First Edition. Wraps. Fair. Approx. 7" x 5" gray paper stapled wraps with title on front. Contents consist of blank front end paper, title page, [26] leaves of photographs printed on the rectos (front side), an advertisement on the verso of the the last photograph page, and the rear blank end paper. Views of Salem include the Old Witch House, Nathaniel Hawthorne's birthplace, the House of Seven Gables, Washington Street and many more. Outer wraps and text are separated. Some of the pages have old dried water stains mostly confined to the margins and page edges. A couple of the pages were once stuck to the next page. A fair copy.
