Austin: University of Texas Press, 1991. First Edition. Hardcover. FINE/fine. Foreword by Joan GTivner, photographs, 120pp., notes, gilt spine titles, brown cloth, photo illus. Dj. Advance review copy.

A true and controversial love story ghostwritten by KAP and first published in 1920 for Asia: The American Magazine on the Orient, as a four-part series, and subsequently Duffield and Co. published it unchanged in book form. Mae Frankling's original manuscript was lost, so there can be no direct comparison between Franking's manuscrpt and Porter's work.
