Library signifiers include tapemarks to boards, tape ghosts to rear endpapers, stamps to edges and prelims. New ffep has been fitted to replace that removed upon deaccession (thus no pocket). Dust jacket is priceclipped, virtually free of wear, has light blue spine label (no writing). Edwardian period setting fantasy. On moonlit nights the white porcelain cockatoo hanging in the drawing room comes alive and likes to talk to Lally. But who would have expected it to dare her to go to First Aid classes or befriend the crabby old man next door! And Lally is too afraid to refuse....
