About This Item
Birkdale: Privately Published, 1906. Soft cover. Poor/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Scarce early magic booklet. Business card of Fred G Wilton, "Society Conjuror and Humorist" pasted to ifc. Pages a little creased and toned, but nonetheless fascinating. Also of interest is a price list of magical props and tricks tipped in at the rear from Gilbert Stout, manufacturer of magical and comedy apparatus. Green paper covers worn. Spine repaired with brown paper tape, this now largely split, so covers almost off. Poor, but scarce. 8vo. 28pp

About Dodman Books
Formerly Journobooks, my original speciality was books about journalism, journalists, newspapers and other media (hence the name) and I still have a good stock of hard-to-find books in that field. Over time I have added a wide and eclectic variety of other collectible volumes alongside a general secondhand stock. I am a collector as well as a seller so know all about the pitfalls of online buying as well as the joys. I will try to make your buying experience as easy and as pleasant as possible.
