UK,slim 12mo softback digest,1st thus.[Originally and first published in HB in 1896,this magazine/digest edn being published circa 30s.] GOOD.Pencilled owner inscrptn to front blank,no price to covers and undated (circa 1920s(?)/30s).Colour pictorial illustrated front paper cover with white and white-outlined red letters,rear cover with blue+ white publisher's advert for other Nat Gould titles is slightly grubbed and with a pencilled horse(?) doodle,blue lettering to spine/backstrip with some minimal loss at foot of same; with shelf-wear,rubbing, creasing and some minimal chipping with reciprocal loss to edges and corners,small closed tears to front corners.Top edges aged/darkened, fore-edges also aged and thumbed; contents also darkened with top+bottom corner creases to some pages - a mixture of accidental and intentional(?) but tight and solid.UK,slim 12mo wraps,1st edn thus, 6-157pp [paginated] includes XXVIII(28) chapters; plus [unpaginated] blank,title page and 2pp blanks at rear.
Nathaniel Gould was born in England and spent some ten years as a reporter in Australia in Brisbane,Sydney and Bathurst between 1884 and 1895.
