In very good olive green cloth boards, black titles to front and back strip. The covers are straight, tight and unmarked; spine ends and corners slightly frayed; top edge of spine has more fraying. Very lightly tanned free end papers. The cut edges are slightly tanned. Very good firm, square, untanned text block. No inscriptions etc.

Clean hardback tightly bound in olive green cloth with black titles, cloth has minor rubbing at corners, browning at closed page edges, fox spotting at closed page edges, no inscriptions. 320 pages, contains 10 short stories. No publishers date, but we think this is a first printing from 1928, as there is no mention of 'Blood royal' (1929) in the list of previously published books, and Ward Lock were in the habit of dating reprints, but not firsts .
