Dust jacket is clipped, shows very slight edgewear. The historical evolution of the English landscape from pre-Roman times to the present. Continues through the Saxon settlements, medieval times, the effects of the Black Death, Tudor and Georgian countryside, and the industrial revolution. Shows how we can trace historical influence of human settlement in the landscape we observe today.
